One of the things I always regret as a Photographer is how few photo’s of my pets, family and friends I have, even as I sit here typing this.
While I am thinking about it, the last photograph I have of my own mother who see almost every day is over a year old and I only have that from my sister wedding where I was doing the videography. The last photo of myself and mother together is about 4 years old from when I went trying new lenses for my camera. The last picture of my mother alone is about 5 years old when I took her photo for her company ID Card, not to mention my sisters. Its such a rare and unusual occasion it actually feels a little weird and strange taking photo’s of my own family, its just not the kinda thing we do, and that I regret.
The Moral of the story, even if I don’t follow it myself is, RIGHT NOW, get your camera and start taking photo’s of your beloved pets, and while your at it, you may as well do some of your family because when they are gone you WILL regret it. I didn’t really take many Photo’s of Kitty Lea, Tiger or Sookie, my mother took a few with her film camera and I did with my Canon EOS 10 and 5 on film, but I had a digital camera for the last year or so of Kitty’s life and never really used it.
I am trying to change this with Dumble and Barnimal and I regularly try to take little video clips and photo’s of them, I promise you, if you take this advise you won’t regret it at all.
The above competition is an ideal opportunity for you to take some nice snaps of your cat, and maybe win something in the process.
